Precious Jewels Nairobi Summit - Langata

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. John 15:16

Mrs. Lois Mwangi's (host) residence
We had our last summit on Saturday, November 30, 2019. It rained all night Friday into Saturday. We had prayed for a clear day and God graciously answered that prayer favourably. We arrived in Langata (Mrs. Lois Mwangi's residence) at 8:30am. The program started well after 9:00am since there were women still arriving. We had about 50 women who attended this final summit.

Rose leading worship
The program began with a prayer and a cup of tea with snacks - as would be expected in a typical Kenyan meeting.😜 We had about 20 minutes of praise and worship. I then introduced Leah with a brief devotion from John 15:16. When I mentioned that this was Leah's first visit to Africa debuting the Precious Jewels Study - everyone applauded.

Leah's teaching was received with utmost delight. Once again, God's presence was evident at this session and the study had a significant impact in the women's lives. How do I know - you ask? Well right after the Pearl teaching, we had a time when each woman was asked to stand up and introduced herself. Each went beyond introductions and gave their testimony of how the teaching had impacted them. We had a few who said that they were wrestling with the decision to come for the meeting due to traffic and possible rain, but felt stirred to attend. This was a DIRECT answer to the prayers we prayed that morning that the Holy Spirit would press every woman He had appointed to hear this teaching to attend the meeting. It was so moving to see prayers being answered as testimonies were being shared during this time of introductions. Oh... just before the introductions, each woman received a pair of authentic pearl earrings, courtesy of Leah. This endeared the study and Leah even more to the women!πŸ˜€

Leah taught all three Jewels before we broke for lunch. During lunch the women sat around

tables and discussed what they had learnt. Once again, the women at these session also asked for material - again confirming to Leah she has to write for publication. We did have the whole session recorded. Leah will be able to post a video trailer of the Jewel Study via YouTube after all the editing has been done. We are thankful for the product of the Precious Jewel Study.

DIAMOND- Dust or Diamond
We are constantly under pressure. As we look at the Diamond, we learn that we don't have to let the crushing weight of the world destroy us. We have a Savior who loves us and will strengthen us.

PEARL- Setting ourselves apart
The pearl is the only stone formed from a living organism. It's the result of an oyster protecting itself. As we learn about the pearl, we learn that no trial, persecution or situation is in vain. They are tools to grow us and to give Glory to Jesus Christ.

RUBY – Total Transparency
We live in a world that exalts perfection. It pushes an image where flaws and imperfections are unacceptable. However, as we dig into the formation of Rubies, we find that God sees things very different.

We were both completely tired when we got home, but we still had to start packing our bags and get ready for our trip back to the States on Sunday.

What a day! This was it! God has brought to fruition what He called us to do in the fall of 2014. I think the realization that we had come to the end of what started 6 years ago is what made us sigh in exhaustion.... but a good exhaustion! A feeling of accomplishing what God had purposed for us for such a time as this. Glory to God! He is so, so, good!

To God be the glory, great things He has done!πŸ™
