The three jewels that will be the focus of the summit. |
On the left is a brief of the three jewels that will be the focus of the Nairobi Summit.
RUBY – Total Transparency
We live in a world that exalts perfection. It pushes an image where flaws and imperfections are unacceptable. However, as we dig into the formation of Rubies, we find that God sees things very differently
DIAMOND - Dust or Diamond
We are constantly under pressure. As we look at the Diamond, we learn that we don't have to let the crushing weight of the world destroy us. We have a Savior who loves us and will strengthen us.
PEARL - Setting ourselves apart
The pearl is the only stone formed from a living organism. It's the result of an oyster protecting itself. As we learn about the pearl, we learn that no trial, persecution or situation is in vain. They are tools to grow us and to give Glory to Jesus Christ.
This is one of the flyers (posters) that are being circulated to invite ladies to the Precious Jewels Nairobi Summit.
One of our venues will be at St. Francis Church in Karen. This Anglican church is located on the outskirts of Nairobi, Kenya.
St. Francis is my home church. This is where I grew up serving in the church as a Sunday School teacher for the children's program and also in the choir. The church has opened it's premises for us to hold the summit which is scheduled for Saturday, November 23, 2019.
Our next summit will be on Sunday afternoon, November 24th at Ndemi Place, Nairobi. Here the study will be hosted by MNGS ladies - an association of my former secondary school. We have known each other since we were 12 years of age. We all attended the same boarding school and several years ago we formed an association that includes all who live in the diaspora.
The last summit will be hosted at a residential home in Langata - another suburb of Nairobi. Here we expect about 40 ladies mostly from an organization known as Home Care Fellowship where my late mother was an active member.
